The Relevance of the "TOC"
A "TOC" is a military acronym for a place in an operational combat zone that stands for the Tactical Operations Cell/Center. In this center, all significant parties/assets/leaders come together to share meaningful information, experience, knowledge and skill to support the success of a mission. TOC Therapy was born from this, in that it has become a place for my clients to share, explore, process their past and current experiences, gain insight of what they have learned about themselves, and learn new skills about how to use these experiences and resilience gained, to move forward in a life of love, acceptance, meaning, and purpose.
COURAGE
It takes great courage to take the step at looking into the past and be willing to explore the painful experiences one has walked through as a means of healing in the present and finding peace in the future. I practice from a position that is client focused, empathic, goal specific, while direct; allowing my clients to take the lead in their therapy process, and reflecting with them on patterns of dysfunctional thinking and behavior that no longer serve them socially and emotionally. In providing my clients with healthy therapeutic interventions and means to assist them in coping with stressors and triggers from the past, they are now equipped to navigate lifes challenges at present and in the future without an impact on joy, peace, meaning, and purpose.
